I have a Champion Juicer  (20 years) works great and makes great peanut butter also.  You can get meat and grain mills to fit it.

Made up in Glenn's area (LODI)

I have a JuiceMan juicer that I use to make carrot/apple juice.  About half carrot, half apple is very sweet and refreshing.  I have tried lots of fruits and vegetables, but that is my favorite.

One word of warning; if you make juice out of fresh beets, be aware that your body does not metabolize the red color at all, and your urine will look like Sammy Sosa used your kidneys for batting practice.  Scared the pee out of me the first time.

Stinky, Crimoney... ::)

I don'r know what to say....

I haven't juiced for a long time but the last time I did I just put a hinge on two 2 x 4's then stuck it between them and smashed real hard.

It smashed very hard before the outer skin popped open then the juice ran out into a bucket.  The pressure was so great before it popped open that all of the seeds seemed to rupture also.  It saved a lot of time.  Much better than cutting it open and doing a small piece at a time.

I didn't stop until the bucket was nearly half full.

Made the best pomegranate jelly we had in a long time.  [ouch]

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner but I am working out of town for a couple weeks - driving back and forth 80 miles one way.

I know it is important to you, Stinky.

I just ordered a Breville Juicer.

I read up on so many juicers yesterday. Its the die cast metal body with the titanium plates that sold me.

I've never used a juicer, but we use our vitamix blender for just about everything.  It makes good juice and you get all the fiber you wouldn't get if you were using the conventional juicers.  I like carrot/apple/raisin combo, or anything with celery (fruit and veggie juice are both made better by that flavor.)

Had my first drink. It was made up of Spinach, parsley, ginger root, pear, green apple, mango, and a celery stalk.
It wasn't bad at all. I am rather impressed the waste was dry. I am considering after I make some soy milk to run my mixture through the machine. THe stainless steel mesh is wonderful and I think it would help strain the soy milk.

Hey... maybe you could hook up with the person giving away free manure and come up with a business plan for soil amenities.  I bet both of you guys could squeeze out a profit.
