Something fired off in my way-back machine of a brain and made me 'member something.
Does anybody remember that back in the 60's, the sporting magazines (Outdoor Life, Sports Afield) used to have an advertisement in the back for a small pistol that used miniature cartridges? I think they sold for all of $5 or so.
As a kid, I desperately wanted one. Go figure. It might be fun to try and find one somewhere now. I wish I had an old magazine to look at!

Ask, and ye shall receive:
Kruger .12 caliber single shot pistol (http://books.google.com/books?id=SC0DAAAAMBAJ&lpg=PP1&lr=&rview=1&pg=PA59#v=onepage&q=&f=false)
(near the bottom of page 59 of Popular Science, November 1958)
You'll shoot your eye out, kid.
:D
Yeah! That's one of them. They also had a revolver looking one too.
I wonder where I can get one? (auction arms here I come!)
Apologies for the link to another forum. Is this against the rules?
Here is a thread on that pistol, and some history...

Not a problem, Frank. Interesting - I never heard of them.
