Everyone did so well on the other "name this gun" thread, I thought I'd be lazy and see what I came up with here ;D

Model 1889 Type II Bodeo, 10.4mm
I'll be darned... ;D
That was quick. Now I have to dig up "Cartridges of the World" and figure what to make 10.4 mm' out of.
Thanks!
It's my $50.00 of the week buy.
Nice find peter. It's really hard to find any working firearm for less than $100.

This one has some minor rusting and one bad patch on the hammer I need to work on tonight. The bore and cylinders are almost mint.Ite action is timed well and tight and smooth as silk.
I can't complain one bit about this one.
I recall seeing a discussion of reloading for this cartridge which involved using .44-40 brass cut to length and something about using a .303 sizing die to form the necessary taper.
Found it; discussion thread here: http://www.coltforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21006 (http://www.coltforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21006)
Alternatively, Gad Custom Cartridges will load 'em for you, $30 for 50 rounds: http://gadcustomcartridges.com/ (http://gadcustomcartridges.com/)
Scroll down to "Obsolete Pistol Ammo" and look for 10.4 Italian.
Whitlock has a very old pistol that I will try to get him to post. I don't know if he knows it's official name, but if he doesn't maybe someone here does, you guys are good at this!
