Title: Shopping
Post by: StinkerBell on December 17, 2009, 09:15:31 AM
Anyone else noticing that groceries seem to be creeping up? I know it's the holiday season and there are many deals and coupons to be had, but it seems that things are starting to rise a little.

Yes!!!!

I continue to be amazed at how expensive groceries are, and it is only getting worse.

I am always amazed at grocery prices.  That is why I recommend a garden.  I only shop once every few years.  Sassy does the rest. I look for groceries to be unaffordable for us peasants soon.... [crz]

We always use the totally unscientific $$$/bag.  It used to be $10/bag, then quickly went to $20.  Now I don't even try.

That being said, I do try to catch stuff on sale, especially meat.

Right before T-day, I got turkeys for .37 a lb.  I have 3 25+ lb'ers in the freezer from that price.

I also pick up pork on sale for .99/lb.  I always stock up at that price.

The rest gets bought as it is needed.
