You think they disabled comments from the get-go, because they KNEW people would log on to talk about all the issues with the shot? Or do you think they allowed them, and got people discussing the above and disabled them afterwards?

The ironic part is that Jim Henson died of the flu, that turned to pneumonia in 1990. He did not go to the doctor or hospital because he was raised Christian Scientist, a religion that does not subscribe to conventional health care practices. In a sense you can say that he died for his beliefs, and now his name is being used 180 degrees the other way.
I guess I can see his kids seeing the situation from another perspective (losing a parent to the flu and refusal of medical treatment) and wanting to send this message.
I agree with NM, just spooky and weird.
