In a word, yes.
Lo, the Oxo companies measuring cup. No more kneeling to check the level as the cup sits on the counter top. No more holding it up at eye level and trusting it's level.

We just got a set of three and they work great! Look straight down at the graduations on that sloped face.
Great idea.
Seeing that the babyboomers are the largest population and crossing over to retirement. They are the population to cater too. Taking things and improving on them is the way to make a fortune.
Been using one of those for several years now. They work great, wouldn't have any other kind now.
Cool Don. Where did you run across that? I have never seen one. Looks like something I could get use to using.
I was looking for a particular Anchor glassware container. I found it at belk.com (http://belk.com). Then the Oxo measuring cup set popped up as a suggested item at checkout. I got the set of three for $9.99.

but what about the dry ingredients--sugar, flour, etc? ISTM this cup won't work any better for those than an ordinary one, & IMO not as well as the kind of cup you overfill and then knock off the excess with a knife or spatula. How easy is it to clean? Does stuff get caught under the slanting scale? Dishwasher safe?
Okay, fair enough critique.
For us, this is the liquid measure system. We have a set of spoons and cups in varying sizes that are used for dry measure, and like you say it's easy to dip a one cup measure into a can of flour and knock off the excess with a knife.
However, I don't find that so easy with liquids that call for 8 ounces. I spill when trying to use the one cup measure we use for dry ingredients. Maybe that's just me. :-\
There's no place for things to get stuck, it's a molded cup with a step for the sloped scale. Dishwasher safe.
I believe there is a place for both types and that these are great or liquids. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but we love them since we got them a month ago.
On a measuring note: we also love the Oxo digital scale for measuring ingredients by weight. I use weight for many things, like dry pastas, for example. I know how much per serving by weight.
