I've been stopped three times in the past 3 years (since I've received a CCW permit).  Each time they ran my plates, they asked me if I was carrying.  I've been truthful, but I have to admit that I have felt like saying "I'd rather not answer that question".  It occurred to me that I don't know the personality nor demeanor of the officer, and the last thing I need is for him to get his ego ruffled enough to make up some BS specifically to get in my truck to plant something, or to fabricate a story about interference or resistance.   

Without witnesses handy, I would be very careful about using that questionnaire with law enforcement personnel.  Although I think it would be a hoot to do that with the census guys  ;D

Public servants usually have a problem.  To them most times, servant translates loosely somehow, somewhere in their mind public servant is spelled BOSS.
