Title: Making Watertight Connection Through a Wall
Post by: MountainDon on August 18, 2009, 04:34:17 PM
This idea somehow came to me one day a short time ago as I was contemplating how to make a weather proof hole through the cabin wall for a pipe. It could have a variety of applications.

Use a bulkhead fitting as pictured below. If this was placed when the building was just a shell it would be a relatively simple matter to drill through the sheathing and install one of these wherever needed. They can be had with either standard pipe threaded ends or slip fit ends or a combination.

One of many sources...   http://www.aquacave.com/2-bulkheads-799.html (http://www.aquacave.com/2-bulkheads-799.html)

Probably not a code approved method.
