Title: Wall Sheathing with 2x6's 2OC
Post by: mountainmomma on June 15, 2009, 01:09:15 PM
We are building a 16x26 2 story house in Alaska. On the first floor, we have built 2x6 walls 2 ft on center. For sheathing, we used 15/32 plywood. We want a strong healthy house built right the first time. Is 2ft OC okay for this thickness of sheathig? If not, what should we do to rectify the situation? ]

See if this section from the APA website tells you what you need to interpret the stamps on your panels. If you do not find a clear stamp such as Wall-24 then call the supplier and ask them if the material they gave you can span 24" studs. I expect it can.
