No - not in the Whitehouse...
They were in a field along the road in Hunters Valley when I went to work Sunday.

Great Picture. I have found feathers at my property but no birds yet. I have also found many hunters looking for them too at my property. I have to get those posted signs up.
Nice turkeys! :D
Nice pic. We saw three yesterday between here and town. There are a lot out around the house, but they don't often come up close to the yard because of the dogs. The deer have been right up in the yard even with the dogs (I think they figured out the little dog is chained and can't get to them and Grover is old and getting hard of hearing.) DH is talking about building a treehouse for the kids and using it as a tree stand come hunting season.
They were a couple hundred feet away from me in an oak grove - so telephoto but not too bad -- I took lots but that was one of the best representing the whole group.
We have quite a few bunches - flocks? herds? of them around here. [crz]

A
collective noun is a descriptor for a group of somethingof one kind, such as a herd of cows or a flock of birds...
a battery of barracudas
a flock or gang of turkeys
a clutch of chicks
a pod of dolphins
a bed of clams
a family of sardines
a cloud of grasshoppers
a lush of mallards
a scurry of squirrels
...........
Thanks, Don -- a gang sounds cool.
California Turkey gangs d*
Nice photo Glenn [cool]
They are making quite a comeback here in Ohio, along with pheastants, bobcats and even black bears. As much as I hate paying the taxes, it's exciting to see some of our programs work as well as they are.
Cool pictures too BTW.
My favorite is a murder of crows.
