Title: Best home design 1,600 to 1,800 s.f. ?
Post by: cbc58 on May 01, 2009, 09:46:47 AM
Has anyone come accross a home design that is between 1,600 - 1,800 s.f. that they think is exceptionally well thought out and a great use of space?  (other than the stock plans here)

If so could you post a pic or a link to it...  tks.

Have you thought about something like this, a Bi-level

The basement is more useable but you don't have to do anything with it right away either

Some have just extended the 20x30 to 20 x 40 or whatever length they want- added a side room if necessary to get more space - then you are using a standard reasonable priced plan but getting the space you need also.  Jimmy Cason extended his to 40' to have 1600 SF.

Extending is easy - widening is not.  Adding a side room and or porch, mud room etc.  is pretty easy also.
