I heard on the radio today that health officials don't want to call this the Swine Flu because it might spook people into thinking that they should not eat pork.. because you can't catch this flu from eating pork.
So they want to call it the H1N1 virus. Does that mean that you catch it from eating H1N1?
How about we call this based on where it originated? Maybe just call it the Mexican Flu?
Bet that won't fly either.....
Hmmmmmm......
Mexiwine Flu
Nethog came here on a H1B1 is he safe to be married too?
heh

Here we go --- planned thinning out of the masses. I guess this is the time.

BE SCARED...SWINE FLU IS EVERYWHERE!!!!!
I grow so weary of all this fear mongering.
The article on the Air Force predicting a pandemic in 2009 reminds me of the CIA plan from 1959 for hijacking domestic commercial airplanes and flying them into buildings and then blaming the attacks on Fidel Castro thus justifying an invasion of Cuba. Operation North Woods I think it was called. Seems like that plan got dusted off and employed forty years later. Either that or it was just a massive coincidence.
It does seem as though we like to be afraid. Sputnik, Y2K, SARS, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Economic collapse, illegal aliens, terrorist strikes, whatever.
When it comes down to it, we are a bunch of lemmings, and I am in the center of the pack. Considering the things I have done to be prepared to stay at home (for whatever reason) it is tough for me to deny it. Once a boy scout, always a boy scout.
I will admit to having enough first aid supplies, including masks, to equip a small infirmary; home, cabin, Jeep, car... former boy scout and cub scout leader

Ahhhhh......But do you have a surgical stapler. My pride and joy :) :)
You got me there Peter.
A couple guys I four wheel with are doctors though, one a surgeon. :D
It's like the Taser...I never get to use it.
I ride around with it in the truck. I can just see it now, a traffic accident with someone on thee ground, head nearly severed and everyone not knowing what to do.
I could just stop and run to his aid.....STAND BACK....I'LL STAPLE HIM UP!
Then when he recovered, send him a bill ::)
Super Glue.
Superglue worked for me :)
Swine flu hype ... as usual - follow the money.... big pharma - our savior.

The WHO is mostly a population reduction entity - not here to help anybody.
Keep the sheeple scared to allow the politicians and criminals running the world to continue the ripoffs of the citizens. Divert the minds from the real problems and thefts of our childrens futures and all of our rights.

Bingo!
Not much worse than the garden variety (even though they hoped it would be - likely directed the crossing of it with other flu varieties to make it more potent and likely suggested mixing the live virus in the vaccines - population reduction - scaring the sheeple... it's a tough business and hard to get it right....) ... Sometimes the damn sheeple are just a bit too tough to kill.... [crz]
Tamiflu and other worthless symptom treatments selling nicely though. (Try aspirin ?? - it's cheaper - about as effective and doesn't have the nasty side effects). Besides - I don't want you to contribute to Rumsfeld and Obama's (Gilead, Roche) wealth.
