Title: Cheap electric cable ?
Post by: Windpower on April 06, 2009, 10:02:05 AM
I am thinking of bidding on some heavy duty electrical cable

it is 5 KV cable 500 MCM  (about 1 inch in diameter) there are 2 spools of 500 feet each

this would be great for high current applications with batteries

I am just wondering if there are any people here that might be interested in buying some since 500 feet is probably several life times supply for me  :)

I am going to bid cheap (~ $1 a foot) because things have been very slow at this liquidation place -- I hope get it for less than scrap price

I am happy to share the low price if I get it

just checking to see if there is any interest here

How flexible is it? If you're thinking about batteries my experience has been you nood flex; regular electrical cable is way too stiff for that use, IMO.

Don't need any here though.
