Title: Question about price
Post by: Maxil on March 17, 2009, 04:37:01 PM
I have been lurking here for a bit and kinda falling in love with the 20'X30' 1 1/2 floor cabin. Could I get a ballpark figure of material cost on this, considering middle grade stuff. I was just hoping to find out what I might be putting out for this.

I have several friends that can help me build it, just really curious how much it would be approximately.

Thanks a bunch,
Maxil

It's a big ballpark with so many unknown variables like where you are building and types of finnishes. I'll say about $60k.

Go to building-cost.net and do your own cost estimate.  Read the info first so you can accurately choose the quality level (of materials) you desire.

On couple did their shell dry in on the 20x30 two story for about 12000 materials but they were frugal and bought wholesale.  As Scott mentioned - lots of variables and lots to do after dry in also..
