Title: Unusual snow "not" fall
Post by: Redoverfarm on March 13, 2009, 06:21:56 PM
I thought this was somewhat unusual.  This is my daughters swingset and the remnants of last nights snow.  Normally once snow begins to fall from something it will contiue it's downward plunge until it reaches the stopping point for gravity. Not in this case though.  The snow was slidding off and then stopped midways to form this cable effect.  The temperature had not changed for the majority of the day so a rapid freeze would be no explanation.  There is a good 4" between the top pipe and the snow which difies gravity. There is also a portion to the left that stubbornly hangs.  Odd

I've seen it do that from our fencing before... Pretty neat.
