I went today, first time being there for bike week. Had a great time. the weather was nice, and alot of cool motorcycles. would like to do sturgis.
I just wanted to see if there were any other riders on the forum,and/or what bike shows you may have attended. what brand of motorcycle do you ride?
I had 2 Aspencades several years ago. Totaled the 84 in Bayone NJ enroute to Nova Scotia pulling a trailer. Two years later bought a 87 to replace it. I rode more in one year on the 84 (13,000 miles in 12 months) than I did 10 years with the 87. Americade in Lake George in NY two years in a row.
Sold the 87 to BIL and bought a farm tractor of which I needed more than the mc. Never really missed riding after I gave it up. I never really felt confortable after the wreck. It wasn't my fault but I was leary of every intersection and had doubts that the cars would stop and yield me the Right of Way.
I did learn one thing. Don't ride south in the summer or north in the winter. ;D

The only bike events I ever attended, outside of local level stuff, were the Isle of Man TT and the Manx Grand Prix, in the seventies.
The only bike events I ever did were rallys and enduros. Ran thru a barbwire fence with a 250 Kaw at one enduro......the only thing worse is smacking into a tree.
Have had quite a few machines, but I still wish I owned the first one.....

We have a Triumph Trophy we ride two up on. It's more of a sport touring bike so it handles well, good power and lots of storage for longer trips. We usually take it up to Arkansas where the roads are fantastic.
Also have an 04 BMW 1100S Boxercup replica. This is more of a sport bike but can be configured for longer trips. Haven't been riding it too much but did get in a couple of track days last year which were a lot of fun!!!
Haven't done any of the bike shows or rallys yet.
I jut noticed,didnt mention my motorcycle: 2002 honda sabre 1100(black) I bought it from a friend of mine about a year ago. Its got a windshield,saddlebags,and after market pipes (loud).
