Title: midwifery
Post by: akemt on February 19, 2009, 11:59:43 AM
So I know this is random, but I just signed up for a direct-entry midwifery course (distance studieds --have to complete an apprenticeship as well) and I'm so excited about it!  I generally come from the pro-medicine realm, but I'm slowly learning more natural ways of life as I go -in all aspects.  It'll take a good 3 years, but YEHAW!

Cool!  I think it is great that you're going for it.  I think I'd like doing that myself.  Would've loved to have had a homebirth with a midwife, but haven't gotten DH to agree yet.

Good for you!  If we weren't so busy trying to raise our children, my wife would like to become a midwife.  Our last two were born with midwives, and it was a great experience.  Good luck, and God bless you in your quest.
