This is one of the free download plan upgrades available from out sister site PlanHelp.com.

I wanted to make it available to purchasers of the Little House plans kit and others who have asked about doing a slightly wider 16' building rather than the 14' wide limits of those plans.

Very useful and generous of you, John. Thanks.
I have just updated the Planhelp file for the 16x28 cottage to include an 8 page scaled plans booklet as well as updated template files. An experienced owner-builder could build from these plans. It has both the beam and pier foundation linked here as well as a concrete crawlspace foundation plan, floor, roof and loft framing, a scaled main floor plan, a structural cross section and details for a rain hood porch roof.
This is also a good example of what 3DHA ver 3 and compatible programs can produce for working construction drawings... and, yes there are a few of my hand drawn plans in there too. ;)

Great design John!
The 20x30 seemed a little big and the 14x24 a little small...16x28 should be just right. [cool]
Had to renew my Plan Help subscription and down load the plans.
Thanks! [cool]
Here is the basic floorplan and a couple of images of this little house. These are from the $10 program that runs the modifiable template file (3DHA ver. 3)

I see there are four outside doors in this place. You may be able to eliminate one depending on your site. :D
