I'm left-handed, soooo .....
Why do I always put my right leg in the pants first, but my left arm in a shirt first. Or put the right sock on first, but put on the left shoe first. And why do I always start brushing my teeth on the lower right side or wash my right ear first yet dry my feet left one first. Why do I start shaving on the right side of my neck.
Write with my left, but throw a baseball with my right. Or play the guitar right-handed. Eat with my left, but switch hands to cut a steak. Or use right hand scissors. Or always open the fridge with my right hand. Or nearly always use hand tools.....you guessed it.....right handed.
And why is my right thumb slightly larger than left. My wallet is always in the left, but i insert credit cards into ATMs or gas pumps with the right hand. Why do I use a 'mouse' with my right hand. And nearly always 'zip' up with the right. Yet put my hat on with the left. Being a lefty isn't easy. On to weird thoughts.
Why is it that money isn't everything, yet there are days it seems to be way ahead of what ever is in second place? And why are nearly all children a royal PITA, yet our newly acquired grand daughter is an angel. And why are weigh stations only open when I'm driving the company rig. I could go on and on.
One last thought.....why is it I still believe that somewhere in this universe, a square peg will fit quite neatly into a round hole????

This is common for left handed people, Sparks -- the confusion -- my wife is one.... rofl
lefties rule, righties drool.....
We drag our knuckles too [waiting]
Being that the right side of the brain control the bodys left functions then one would say that " only left handed people are in their right mind". I don't agree with the later as I am on the right track.
Hmmm... I think I am dominantly left-handed, but barely. I bat right-handed. I throw right-handed. I used to brush my teeth right handed until I broke my right hand a few years ago, and I was surprised at how weird it felt at first to brush them left-handed, and now I can't do it right-handed. I also write with both hands, but left is more comfortable on paper. On a chalk board, it doesn't seem to make a difference, and the handwriting LOOKS the same with either hand... I didn't even know I did that until one of my students pointed it out to me when I was about 27 year old. I was standing in the middle of the chalkboard and would write from the left edge to the middle left-handed, switch to the right hand and finish what I was writing across the board. One day, one of my students asked me if I was left or right handed, to which I replied I was a lefty, and then they wanted to know why I switched hands in the middle of the sentence every time? Until then, I didn't even realize I was doing it, and I couldn't tell from looking at the board where I'd switched hands, but sure enough, I was switching in the middle somewhere, sometimes even in the middle of a word.
Oh, and for what it's worth, I think this is all just my "Christian work ethic" shining through-- my left hand doesn't know what my right hand is doing! d*
How Sinister of you!

Your very confused Sparks.....
Do you have any desire to wear ladies dresses on nights when the moon is full? [noidea'
I'm mostly right handed, but dial phones left handed, eat either way, write with either hand. Right legged when getting on a horse. Tried it from the other side, and found that the training extends to both equine and rider to accomplish that trick.
I burned my right hand rather badly in my 20's and it was out of commission for several months (grafts and all that ick). I learned to live as a lefty, and the training stuck. Comes in handy sometimes, like when that dang nail will only go in if you hammer with the left hand. I think just about anyone could learn to use either hand handily ( :P) if necessity forced the issue.

Sounds like some here know already, but sinister is actually Latin for left handed...at least that is what I have been told.
Very quirky stuff there Sparks. Funny read, thank you. I thought I might be the only one thinking himself a little left of center (right handed, but left of center...go figure).
d* -- Now I remember...since you mentioned it. Sinister... [waiting]
Is Sassy watching Glenn.....? :o
No but she is sinister.
She worked at the VA this weekend so decided to rest another day and come up tomorrow-- she will jump on this when she gets back though. She thinks left handed people are normal.... [waiting]
I left myself a little note attached to my glasses......."try the left leg first"...
Hhmmmm......we'll see. ;)

G'nite
Glenn just feels left out ::) heh
I usually write with my left hand but can write with either, bat & throw with right hand, water ski with right foot, use scissors with right hand... hammer nails & eat using either hand (& yes, Glenn, I use a hammer when I nail & utensils, usually, when I eat - always have to pay attention to how I word things cuz he loves to turn things around [waiting])... lefties are able to use both sides of their brain 8)
HG, that's funny about changing hands while writing on the board... I never could write well on the board - you can't write with your hand upside down d*
When I was in 1st grade the teacher would always turn my paper the other way & move my hand position the same way righties wrote - as soon as she would walk past I'd have to change back to the way I had everything - I actually used to get A's in penmanship but sure wouldn't anymore...

Boy... I wonder what would happen if they ever need to use the center? [waiting]
