From the Article:
"The list includes, among other things, French truffles, Irish oatmeal, Italian sparkling water and "fatty livers of ducks and geese," which apparently is how Washington trade bureaucrats say foie gras."

I knew the Irish were famous for many things...but I've never heard of Irish oatmeal.  ???  Doesn't sound all that fancy to me.

I see Irish oatmeal in the grocery stores, particularly in the health food stores and with the stuff from "Bob's Red Mill".  But you're right... it is STUPID.  I don't blame ANY country that bans US imported beef from feed lots.  Anyone who's ever driven past one of those feedlots could completely understand why you wouldn't want to eat anything that came out of them.  And if folks like Roquefort cheese, more power to 'em, they oughtta be able to buy it without taking out a second mortgage.

AMEN!   It's all silly, but I'll miss my Irish oatmeal, not the Roquefort.
