I wonder how long before he starts in on anti-gun stuff?

I figure it won't be long. Here in OK we've already had two kids killed in gun accidents since Christmas... one was a kid who should've known better and took a chance that resulted in him getting killed, and then a few days ago, a little boy with down's syndrome got ahold of his dad's gun and shot himself in the head. As sad as both events were, I am cringing waiting for the anti-gun crowd to start hollering.
It's for population control funding in foreign countries. Probably more here soon.
I'm not as worried. Obama promised to do this consistently throughout the campaign. He also promised more open government and to close gitmo. He has done both. He seems to be doing everything he said he would. He also promised not to touch the gun issue. I will start to worry when he starts pushing left issues that he promised not to.
He is doing everything he can without having to go to congress. Politically speaking, to touch guns he would have to fix the economy first. There would be a loud outrage from people (even liberals) to congress if they take this issue up in the midst of the current economic downturn. 95% percent of respondents responded that the economy was the #1 issue in the election.
Besides he can pass anything he likes, the SCOTUS will over turn it in a heartbeat.

Population control is WAY overdue. Just google world population growth over the last 50 years. If there is not a major drop in the growth rate we will be eating "Soylent Green" in the very near future! :o
That is if people are herded into cities. If they were to be independent and get out in the boonies, there is lots of room.... I just don't want them near me... [waiting]
Unfortunately everyone is a specialist nowadays and few can take care of themselves.
I find it ironic. Our country (of course this is my personal opinion here) wants to cut God out of every aspect of government. God can not be in school but Darwinism can. Ok then, if that is the stance of our government then they need to practice what they preach. We need to stop placing safety measures, including medication instruction that no one can read or understand. No more safety anything! Cause we are not allowing the idiots of the world to die off. Really shouldn't only the smartest and the fittest survive?
What would happen to the politicians then? hmm

How many new places around you just since you moved in? How many more will be around you in that same time period from now at the current curved rate of growth?
Euell Gibbons might have been able to survive in those mountains but I doubt he could raise a family of five and not get shot for trespassing now.
With yeild vs. demand we are running out of room already. L.A. needed more water,.......Owens Valley needed it too but lost it. Urban areas consume a lot more than most people realize. They only care that their water flows not that someone elses may not flow anylonger. How many docks on the Colorado River that will never see water again?
It is getting too crowded and I am all for slowing the growth trend. It will hurt the current economy that is growth based but if people will learn to live within their means they will do Ok.
And yes StinkerBell I am all for "Natural Selection", The growth curve was much flatter before warning lables ;D
