I thought this would make me feel better...
??? Rough morning, Stink?
Kinda the way I feel. Bought a Kodak printer, won't do what I want, talked to tech support....in Mexico, she hung up on me ??? (I thought I was being nice....It's going back tomorrow and I'm coming back with a Cannon. ::)
Yep....Ranting is good! ;D
Not sure how I will sell my home if the news can't shut their big fat exagerating mouth . Newscast after newscast about how horrible everything is. Of course with their dramatic spin.
Last nights local News is that 1000's will be laid off from Microsoft. From my understanding it is not going to happen the way the news makes it sound. Reviews at Microsoft are coming up and I am sure they will not be contracting out as many people as they use too, in order to cut back.
At times I believe they singularly control the mind set of this nation.
Maybe if they came on the news tomorrow and said the economy was recovering and the banks where going to pay back the bailouts everything would get better by next week just in time for Obama to take credit for it.
Yep, Yep. I agree with you guys. Also from what I learned in economics...confidence plays a very important role in the economy. If people are confident the economy will be better.
In a way, Obama doesn't have to do anything, people just have to believe in him and that will be enough.
When I think about it more, the idea that we are asking him to be our savior...rather praying for him to save us, it seems like people will accept anything he does, even if it means loss of freedom and more government control.
Sonoran, you know me.... I could not believe in him if my life depended on it d*d*
Because of Obama I bought bullets and food.... [waiting]

I've often thought about this. I used to criticize the news, along with many people, for being too negative. I have begun to wonder, maybe they are being too positive.
I mean, the idea that I want them to put more good stuff in the news is hypocritical because it is the same as what they are doing, except with good news vs bad news. And that makes me think, maybe they aren't showing everything.
I suppose the world is what we think it is.
I do feel however, that good doings are overlooked because they aren't as interesting as bad doings.
And despite making two large 1040-ES payment to the IRS, looks like we are still going to OWE!
ACKKKKKKKKKKK.
ANd these pants make me look fat!
rofl you need more write offs!
BTW, does anyone follow the Daily Reckoning, Agora Financial or Whiskey & Gunpowder? I think they might all be related websites but usually have some good info on the economic scene & pretty much "tell it like it is"

Stink, I'm hoping that you have some buyers out there. My realtor here told me the other day that people are buying houses again suddenly because on the today show someone said it was a good time to buy. Maybe you have a buyer out there just waiting who is a Matt Lauer devotee and doesn't watch the financial news? ;D (My thought when she told me this was, of course, "Who in the world is crazy enough to go buy a house just because they saw someone on TV tell them to do it, but then I remember that there are people who go buy books because Oprah said to read them... :-\.) Do you have enough equity in your house that you can lower the price?
Well we did up until the last few months. I do not have the funds to take any loss, hoping to break even after fees and such.
:-\ That's too bad. The only reason we were able to sell at all was by the grace of God. We sold at about $29K less than we owed, but only because the company took up the slack. They have been great to us. ??? It is a rotten situation to be in, and super-stressful... don't let it get to you because it will if you let it. I think I sprouted quite a few new gray hairs in the last 11 months while our life was on hold. >:( I hope that you get two buyers at the same time, that way they get into a bidding war and you end up doing better on it than you expect... it would be nice to walk away with a little in your pocket at least.

Let's see. $8.5 Trillion divided by roughly 300 million is about $28,000 per person. A family of 4 equates to about $113,000. Now that is what I call a charitable contribution.
- you might call them and see if you can get your 28k "contribution" as a write-off? I plan to.
