Title: Inflation obesity
Post by: peternap on January 09, 2009, 06:49:21 AM
I had never heard this term before. Most country people understand the concept. When the food budget gets tight, people start eating taters.

That's why you see a lot of fat old country women. You could always alwways pick out the people who grew their own hogs, beef, milk cows and had large gardens. They were usually thin and wiry.

Anyway, the concept seems to be hitting yuppyville now that they are feeling the knife twist.

This always something I tried to explain to people about food storage and emergency supplies. They aren't necessarily for the end of the world when people are shooting each other, aliens are landing and dogs and cats are sleeping together.

Losing your job and having NO food budget.....is just as real a survival situation as total collapse.

I wonder what will hit mainstream America next?

huh...we eat lots of potatoes, and we are all thin and wiry.  Or do you mean french fries and tater tots?  That sounds more realistic!
