A ten mile walk while she was still in her pajamas.
I hope he is convicted.

She was wearing snow boots. Maybe he figured he had it covered. Sad story.

"Why, in my day, we didn't even have clothes!  You're lucky!"  Pretty sad.  I don't know what is with people.

I was reading some more about this. The dad sound like a real winner. He has had some drug convictions. Doesn't sound like a very upstanding person. He may have done too many drugs and fried his brain. Such a terrible thing to happen. I hope he does go to jail for the rest of his life.

It truly does boggle the mind.

Two minor children walking alone for 10 miles at night.
Inadequate clothing in near zero, blizzard like conditions.
No indication they even had a flashlight and the girl had a dark jacket.
Didn't call the mother to say they'd be late.... and walking.
Drove home when he got the car out of the snowdrift.
The mother's reaction was odd too, as if it "was just one of those things".

The kids, any kids deserved better.  :-[

I agree.... the mom's reaction makes me wonder if there isn't anyone in the family who really cares about the kids.  So sad.
