The guns my family has owned have killed far less people than the cars and golf clubs the Kennedy family has owned.

Looks like I'm not going to work for Obama.Oh Darn d*
The most dangerous thing around my house is my hammer. I have hurt myself with it more times than I can count.
Hope I don't have to register it d*
Why am I not surprised by this? ???
Here's a link to the entire 63 questions that prospective Obama workers must answer.

I can understand on the one hand their desire to prevent any embarrassing future incidents, like claims of sexual harassment brought against you, being up to date on child support payments, is your nanny/housekeeper a legal resident of the country and the like. But what does it matter if you had a complete physical in the last year, or if you have ever kept a diary, or if you own a gun(s)?
Itr's an understandable question. No se;f respecting gun owner would work for him. IF you want to work for him and own a gun, you must be a criminal...or his Aunt's neighbor ;D
Lots more to come. Wait until he paints the white house lime green. ::)
i see that obama is living up to his "change" campaign by hiring washington insiders. >:( the more things change... btw, i voted for bob barr.
Osama Obama is just trying to be sure that none of his own cabinet members are the first to shoot him.
That would be as embarrassing as hell. d*
Glenn took me target practicing yesterday in the morning, he's trying to get me prepared for the Obama brigades.... the cat food cans were only 20-30 yds away but I hit them several times - I think even DH was surprised! I've never really shot a gun except for a handful of times. We were shooting with the .22 rifle. It was fun ;D
uh glen, do you remember a few weeks ago when you said sassy was an old nurse and you were told to say "more experienced" to keep your health? now you are teaching her to shoot a fire arm? you are a very brave or foolhardy man glen. you will now have to have all your posts proof read by forumites just to insure your safety before posting and also before sassy gets home from work(name w/held for my health's sake).
[rofl2] [rofl2] heh
Dang it.... Alzheimers kicking in.....
I knew there was a reason I hadn't taught her to shoot... I just couldn't remember it... d*
It's sometimers Glenn
Taught my wife how to shoot the shotgun. Fingered if she had to use a gun. a shotgun would at lest give her a chance of hitting something when she needs to.
I like a shotgun as a home defense weapon, but more for the intimidation factor than bettering the chances of hitting something. At close ranges you don't get much spread, a couple inches maybe. I also like the loads to be small birdshot if there is danger of larger shot penetrating walls and injuring/killing someone else. And since I'm expressing my opinion I may as well add that IMO a 12 ga double barrel is more intimidating and if it's an open hammer model, very easy to see if it's "safe" or not.
But the barrel has to be short enough. 14" wold be nice but I've never wanted to bother with or pay the ATF.
