Title: Jesse Ventura Speach
Post by: ScottA on September 03, 2008, 08:02:14 AM
Jesse Ventura gave an interesting speach in Minnesota yesterday. Regardless of your politics you should take a look.

That's my (ex) governor!   :)  Made me proud to have voted for him once.  But he is pretty left leaning once he is in power.  So take what he says with a grain of salt!

The founding fathers would be considered left leaning also, but we would have our country back.

Dems or Repubs mean the theft of the country for big business  and Israel, then after that they both have their deplorable little quirks.

I don't think there is a chance for improvement except a meltdown.

Palin is new and different and unexplored to a large extent but I see lots of thing that make me wonder if she won't fall into the same rut if she lasts to get in there, or if she will be steamrollered by McSames puppetmasters.

Looks like it is more of the same if she gets in there - new or not.  http://www.antiwar.com/blog/2008/09/02/palin-at-aipac-that-didnt-take-long/

More sacrifice our kids and country for Israel and oil.  The cuteness is beginning to wear off.

In all honesty what power does a VP really have? It's kinda like Prince Charles, He has no power but he might one day. He also might die before the Queen does.

I believe about 1 out of 3 VP's have had to take the reins as President, going back through history.

Number seems kinda high. What about just in the last 100 years? I would argue in the last 100 years that life is longer and health care much better. I hope you are not adding in when the VP takes control for 45 minutes when a President is having surgery.

42 Presidents, 9 did not finish their terms and were replaced by the VP  1 in 4.67

Thanks John, I was getting around to checking up on my memory.

That was 8 deaths and one resignation. In addition 5 VP got themselves elected to the office of President. That probably mixed me up.  d*  Sorta counts, but doesn't.

Cheney hasn't been sitting on his thumbs -- he ran operations on 9/11 -- ordered the Norad stand down.
