Title: Back to the farm again today
Post by: peternap on August 17, 2008, 03:53:53 AM
I got the boat to the farm yesterday and was going to take a load of lumber I sawed....but ran across the mother load of estate yardsales and filled the trailer up/

What a sale! Got a Remington 1100 75.00 a metal cutting bandsaw for 20.00, 6 boxes of wrenches and sockets for 10.00. The guy restored cars and I got 5 buffers for 5.00 each, 4 sets of metal shelving for free, 2 tall shop tool boxes for 10.00 each, hand saws, 2 routers, boxes of assorted jigs and router bits.

2 saltwater rods and reels, a new in the box depth finder with GPS.

Truck Winch, tire chains that fit my truck....

Duck decoys, hunting jacket, an outboard motor.....It was like Christmas... They kept saying, just make me an offer, I want it gone c* The only offer I had to up was on on the shotgun. I offered 50.00 first time.

Took what was going to the farm, there, and the rest back to the burb shop...

Now, I have to take the lumber.

What a deal, Peter.  That was great.

It was the sale of a lifetime. It;s sad in a way. A man works all his life for things like that and when he goes, so do they.

Got the lumber unloaded and stickered and then went to the lake . It still amazes me that I can go from deep woods to this in 20 minutes.

It's not all a loss, Peter.  The one who dies with the most toys wins.

You have to die to win. Sounds like something an insurance company would sell.

I'm always delighted when I run across good tools.
I have a complete (If there is such a thing) shop with woodworking, metal working, automotive, forging, etc tools.
About the same thing at the farm.
A tookbox in the focus
A toolbox in the Landrover.
A lot of tools on the truck.
A toolbox in the boat
A smaller tool kit on each of the three motorcycles.
A toolbox on each of the three ATV's
A toolbox on the tractor

Lots of duplicate tools :-\
