Are those the requirements for all of Hawaii or just Honolulu?
So much of what is going on all across the country makes me lament the price of oil. It's really driven up the price of tar and feathering. ;D

"HRS 134-2" That's Hawaii Revised Statutes, it's a state law.
This section explains what steps you need to take to register a firearm. It applies to shotguns, rifles and handguns — that is, all legal firearms.
According to Chapter 134 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, "Firearms, Ammunition and Dangerous Weapons," all firearms in Hawaii must be registered whether or not they are serviceable and no matter how they are acquired. The following exceptions apply:
Registration is not mandatory for rifles and shotguns acquired in the state of Hawaii prior to July, 1994. However, one permit per rifle or shotgun was required for acquisitions between 1981 and July, 1994.
Registration is not required for firearms designed to fire loose black powder and for firearms manufactured before 1899, but permits are required.
However, all firearms imported into Hawaii from out of state must be registered.

Me either. Thats just completely insane. I wonder if the DC supreme court will affect this when they finish up. Personally, I dont see ever calling anywhere than Texas home. No state, city or county income tax, no building permit required at the county level. If your outside a city limit you dont need one, (just septic for the state), no gun registration unless you buy from a merchant - even then its just a form and show ID, low cost of living, plenty of water and arable land. Lotsa oil and natural gas produced right here, keeps our pump prices under the rest of the country as well.
Bugs and the summer heat are the only real downsides. and the immigrants if that sorta thing others you.
Hawaii is not legally a state. Maybe that's something to do with it.
The natives don't want a bunch of those wild westerners coming over there and shooting the place up. ::)
