Title: Windows and costs
Post by: considerations on May 28, 2008, 07:03:11 PM
I found a 6' tall by 5' wide Milgard vinyl window with double panes and one side that slides open in the "boneyard" at the local building supply place.  It's new, the merchant offered to sell it to me for $120.00.  B-4 tax.  Is that a good deal?

There is nothing wrong with it, and they say the Milgard warranty applies.

But then I know nothing about window costs.  Just thought I'd ask for some feedback.

???

That is a all right price if you need it. Make sure the rest of your windows match also. I bought all my windows for my shop(5) once for $75.00 each because the guy who ordered them did not pick them up but I took all of them some were big(6X6) and some small(3x4) but all new. Mark

You may want to make sure the warranty is in place on the window in case a seal or other part broke while it was in the "bone yard"
