Welcome to the forum.  Yes, we're always interested in pics, the more the better.

Update your profile, and include your location so we can also see where you are.

I'm building a 1700 sf house on a crawlspace/basement.  See blog address below for pics and discussions of the project.

w*  Robbo. Sure, we'd love to see your pictures. You could start a topic under Owner-Builder Projects.

There are some tools, tutorials under the Forum News section you might find helpful.

Most of us are in the USA, although there's a smattering of others.

G'day, Robbo.

Welcome to the forum.

We have a member in Australia who has a very nice mud brick home.  Cecilia and Jonni are in the Yarra valley.  This topic has a link to their project.  http://countryplans.com/smf/index.php?topic=3968.0

Hope to see pix and information on yours too.

Seems we have more here somewhere also.

I'm guessing you are in Australia area also? hmm

Always looking to see what others have done.  Along the way there is always something to learn from others.  The building process sometimes seems daunting but there is always someplace to find the answer and right now it appears that CP had cornered the market.

...and it's a free market for those willing to share their answers and experiences in return for taking some---

Thanks for the welcome.  Much apreciated.

The house I am building is a 17 squ adobe brick structure.  Its basically a post and beam design with large 12"x12" cypress pine uprights and massive oregon central beams and rafters.  Essentially, before the roof went on it looked like an upside down version of Noah's ark.

Is designed around passive solar principles which so far look like they are working a treat!  The walls are about 12" thick abobe brick, but with a lot of sawdust added so that the "R" factor of the walls is better than double cavity brick with a foam sandwich.  All windows are double glazed and most of the large windows open 3 degrees E of true north, to mazimise winter sunlight.

Anyhow, I will try and assembe a few pictures to post here for any that might like to see them.

Best Wishes

Robbo

Robbo,

Can't wait to see your pics. Please show some of the land and animals along with your building process. You will find this is a great little group.
