HA I got three last time we were at our place for the weekend. Walmart sells some 40% deet works wonders. Will also burn the skin right off if your in the sun. I am slowly learning to wear a long sleeve shirt even when its hot.  d*

Did it do any damage?

It'll be a while before we need to worry about those up at 8800 feet here.

Of course we also have plague...  but that has nothing to do with ticks. That's fleas.

Which one? None did any damage but I'd as soon get snakebit as have one of them on me. I've got DEET. I just didn't think about using it. I might put the flea and tick medicine on the dog tomorrow....and not use gloves. n*

Yep many ticks. I hate the little buggers too. Be careful although I doubt any of the stuff avalible today is as dangerous as the dip we used 20+ years ago.

...and why are they all so repulsive? hmm

Ticks are crazy out here this year.  Even with fresh tick spray on the dogs, they come back with several after their little outings.

I was going to say Sassy chased a skunk and got sprayed, but I meant to say Suzy, our dog chased a skunk.  I don't think Sassy did.  At least she didn't mention it.

Maybe I should go sniff her. hmm

One of the biggest reason I had to see the tax deadline is that it coincides with the beginning of mowing season.  With roughly 2 acs to mow it takes at best 3 hrs.  I guess I could just turn the cows into the yard.  But it would look a little tacky having barbed wire fence on the front porch post.  Oh well I guess that will be part of me feeding the economy. GAS.

When I was a kid dad let the cows in the yard in the summer. Not one ever came on the porch. Chickens are another story though. They will come inside the house if you leave the door open.
