I am going to install 3/8 paneling (4x8 ft sheets) as a ceiling directly on trusses spaced 24" appart. Will 16 gauge 2" finising nails suffice

I would use some Liquid nails or something along that line along with the finish nails.

Liquid nails and ring shank finish panel nails. They come in colors too.

I am installing the paneling over a vapor barrier so the liquid nails is not an option. I'll have to see if I can use ring shank nails with my Bostich air gun...
