a googol = 10 to the 100th power or  1 followed by 100 zeros.

a googolplex = 10 to the googol power  or  1 followed by a googol of zeros ... also the largest named number.

So much for Pi day.  On to the ides of March. Anybody got ides trivia?  ???

No takers?  OK here is how it went

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.

The Ring of Mordor destroyed by Frodo in Mount Doom.

I gandalfthegrey of course knew this. :)

That was my first thought, given your avatar, but the One Ring wasn't destroyed until March 25, 3019.   March 15 was the battle of Pelenor Fields.
