Title: Any SouthWest Desert Homes?
Post by: davidW on February 04, 2008, 07:49:17 PM
Hi All! I a recently purchased 20 acres in Terlingua Ranch, Texas from a local called DB.

I just ordered the whole enchilada plans for myself to use in a woodland setting.

However, I was wondering what others have come up with for their desert hideaway. What worked; What didn't?

My plan is to build a one story post/beam with loft. It will be used as housing while I attempt a strawbale. When I finish the strawbale it will be used as a guest house.

Thanks

There were two others in Terlingua ranch on this forum a while back.  You might search it here http://countryplans.com/smf/index.php?action=search

My home, although in a big city in the desert, is still a southwest desert home.
