My hard drive crashed. The laptop was getting old so instead of fixing it, I bought a new one.....with Vista >:(.....It's going to be a long night >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
It sounds like you've died and gone to Vista.
My condolences, Peter. I went through that recently and it is no fun. :(
We bought Sassy a new re-con computer rather than go to Vista. Probably getting a bit too late for that now though.
Mine looked brand new & haven't had any problems with it - I didn't want Vista d*
Bought the wife a new desktop for Christmas...from Dell. With XP in it. Still available until June this year. It looked screwed up until I realised it was IE5. I use IE7. I've heard Vista has some nice bells and whistles..........and a "few" other options.
I know all about the bit locker option on Vista......
Pater, I trust all the important crap was safely backed up someplace (or in more than one someplace). That's the part of crashes that can be a real bear (if it's not backed up.) Been there more than once and I have survived!!
And to all those who have not yet had a hard drive go south, it will happen... just a matter of time. Even Macs crash... ::) my SIL had one of hers go a few years ago... lost many photo files.
Better safe than sorry and all that... d*

Did you do a booboo, Stink?
Yes, Stinkerbell, I was wondering, what ever happened with ummm, that, shall we say "incident"? heh
Ummm no Nethog is the father of BitLocker....
If you have any serious vista issues you can send him a PM...I am sure he can help or direct you where to look.
didn't you mention something about DH's computer awhile back & undeserved forgiveness? ::)
I was deflecting a little, cause it was hitting someone with some personal issue...Nethog worked for the evil empire for a decade. He just recently took a job elsewhere in Seattle.
