So - a few get rich for doing nothing, at the expense of others who will continue paying higher food prices as the supply becomes less.

Cities will soon need 40% more water- mostly for landscaping - linked article -- It's not here.

I've got news for you-- much of California is a desert.  When do we decide to live with it?  What happens when a city doesn't get the water it requires?

There was a idea once to pipe our water from the Columbia River to Southern Califoria so they could develope more land! Boy steal from another state to build up another what a crock!! Do you think they would send there water up here if we needed it?? Southern California should slow down and step back and look at where it is headed soon before it totaly crashes. It is so dependent on others water it is not funny anymore. Wait till the big earth quake happens they will have there hand out again and yet they still keep over building in the fault areas. They take from others their resourses to make golf courses, lawns and swiming pools. Then when it burns out of control they have there hands out for more goverment help. How about if we pipe up there sunshine here during the winter to help with out snow and cold? Bet they would like it if we sent them our cold in return to get rid of it and make it nicer here. Why not they get lots of sunshine 90% of the time and should share it with the Nothern States. Guess I am just tired of there whining about problems they made for themselves!  PS I lived there myself for 18 years before I figured out to move and live up here. My rant for the day. Mark
