I expect a lot of us have rice burners.
I have three Manco ATV's. One problem with all the rice burners (and a lot of the ones we think are American made come from the same factory as Mine) is getting good information on them.
A new site has just gone up.
http://chineseatvclub.proboards76.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=24&thread=1195525897&page=1
I know the Admin there and he;s the one I turn to when I have problems with my Chinese tractor.
Not a bad idea to stop by.
Hopefully this isn't a violation of this sites rules. If it is, please delete it.
Hmmm. So you have 2 Manco Talons... 2x4 or 4x4?
I'd like to hear your thoughts, impressions, how long you've had them.......
No snowmobiles, tho' :(
No problem in the off topics, Peter. Nearly anything goes.
I have 3 Don. Two of them are 2x4 and the other is 4x4.
I've had them for a little over a year now and the only problem I've had is butting some old gas in one. After I burned it up it was back to normal/
All three have winches and two are set up with Swisher mounts for the snow plow and dump bucket. The Swisher stuff is OK but I could have saved my money on that stuff,
All three have gun racks and mine has saddlebags also.
I love them!
Thanks Peter. More questions. :)
Did you buy from a local dealer or from the web?
like http://www.mancopowersports.com
I see they also have UTV's.
I would like to replace my '85 Honda trike with some 4x4 ATV or UTV
There should be no reason why the Chinese can't produce a machine that works as well as the others that abound. It's a matter of quality control.
Hmmm. Is yours lead paint free? ;D
Looks like the 4x4 UTV -Bristers Site - http://www.bristers.com/ is the same as the Bush Hog, except not as heavy a model. Bush Hog must get the basic 4x4 and put a bigger engine, etc. or maybe somebody builds the whole thing bigger for them. Too close to be coincidence though.
I bought mine from Tractor Supply Don.
The first one I bought for my son. A month or so later my wife started riding his and I saw the writing on the wall...so I bought her one.
Then we started doing a lot of work there and realized that we had over a 3 miles of river front so I bought one.
I've gotten to where I like well made Chinese equipment. The overall finish isn't as good but they do the job. I do regret the death of American industry...but it is dead and it's going to take a kick in the pants and a major overhaul of our Government, to bring it back.
Until then, it's either do without or buy foreign.

That's the way I see it.
We have no other choice.
