The same as or is compatible with Total 3D Architect Deluxe 3.0? Both seem to made by the same company (Broderbund). Does anyone have or know of a free downloadable sample that I can use to see if it works? If it is not the same there are a couple copies on EBay but they all have like 5 days to go :)

I don't think it is the same. I think
Broderbund is a broker and sells lots of other peoples programs.
As I recall, John said Better Homes and Gardens program works.

I was able to snag one off Ebay early, so as soon as it comes it I am going to start planning - we just bought a piece of land in NC and we are going to build a 20 x 40 Universal Cottage with a shed style bumpout (hopefully if it is workable) on the side with the kitchen and dining room that goes about halfway down, the front part of that will be the porch wrapping around from the front. It is probably going to be about 6 months before we get started. I'll be getting the plans soon.
