I will be installing the sheathing soon, and I am not sure how much of a gap you leave at the ridge, for proper venting.I will be installing chase's between the rafters then insulation,and some sort of wood t&g paneling . the soffits will be vented also. thank you...

For Core vent and comp shingles around 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" no more than 1 3/4" .
