Title: Glen, et als....Well drilling question
Post by: peter nap on September 10, 2007, 01:53:18 PM
I got the information from Deeprock today and I like it, Seems to be well built, the company is sound and has a proven track record and it's still in the 2000.00 range.

After looking at it closely it occurred to me that if I bought the "Power swivel" the thingie that you pump the cutting water into, and bits and pipe, I could make the rest of it in an afternoon using my power post hole digger as a powerhead.

I'd have to make an adapter to connect the powerhead to the "Power swivel" (why is everything a power something)

but I can lathe turn that in 20 minutes.

What am I missing?

Should be doable.

Other than that - the hoisting mechanism - Is your horsepower - speed of auger rotation etc similar to theirs?  RPM could be a factor if you get to a cone bit.
