This is the home of master builder David Shipway in British Columbia.
Some things to note about the project:
• Over-sized post and carved brace give a beefy scale.
• Walls go up to about seat height with stopped in glass above.
• Curved shelves from post towards doorway.
• Barrel vault ceiling in the sunroom. (This would be tricky for the inexperienced builder.)
• That handsome door was probably hand built. Pretty simple though - frame and panel construction.

Interesting article in this months Fine Homebuilding , March 2007 #185, page 86. Not a true barrel vault but a curved ceiling , pretty simple if the right conditions exist or can be created.
That ceiling would be tricky. As always I admire fine woodwork. There is a lot to be said for deviating from the "path of least resistance" square corner construction if you have the time and/or budget.
IIRC Nader Khalili thinks that barrel vaults in adobe or earthbags are easy. (definitely domes and arches--for the latter see this picture of him http://members.aol.com/calearth/nader.htm )
Probably a lot trickier to make look like a finished master builder project in wood. Especially that one, where the low part of the ceiling is straight, and then curves. Which might mean that the barrel vault part is supported from above.
