While visiting my local lumber yard today I asked the current price of metal roofing. I HAD intended to use it on the outside my my "Little House" next
year.
The price has risen to $78 per hundred or per square! :'(
Looks like I will have to use vinyl or possibly wood.
For roofing or siding?
They are different.
Different prices too.
we use the same metal for roofing and siding in pole barn construction
but not for a house, I've been told.
never heard that? I have seen several in West Ky.
Some metal shapes are available in lighter gauge and corrugation depth that is to be used only on walls. Of course, you can use the heavier roof material on walls if you're willing to pay the bucks.

Were you looking at the gold plated stuff?
I have worked with these guys and they tend to always point me in the right direction plus they ship directly to me.
