has anyone know of anyone that has one or has knowledge? is it cheeper than poored wall. I just thought I would ask. I know I could do footings but not sure about walls. thanks Mike
Ive been in the concrete business for 20 years as a mixer driver up here in NJ.
I've seen several of these wall systems used.
Personally I don't care for them.
First of all, your basement wall will have seams. Sealed or not........seams.
No footing, if the ground shifts, theres no support under your walls.
Even if it does save you $, I don't see it as a logical trade off.
I saved money on my foundation....... it is the only thing supporting my house, and it might be less than perfect, but it didn't cost as much.
I like block walls, filled with either grout or concrete, on solid footings...... or solid poured walls on a beefy footing.
Skimp on the flooring or windows and doors if you have to, not the foundation. You can easily replace the former if you need to at a later time. Your not gonna replace your foundation.
Just my humble opinion, hope some insight helps.
