Apologies if this has been covered before, but does anyone see advantages/disadvantages to using this foundation system?

At a glance, it looks like a reasonable idea.
This is new to me and looks reasonable. It would be an alternative to the shallow pier block foundation of the Little House projects.
It does require geotech testing of the soil and the system is engineered so that might be more convincing to a balky building department.
It would be more expensive, of course, but uses an interesting "tree root" type of bearing concept. This might be an advantage in high wind areas where uplift was a possibility.
Thanks for the link Greenbank. I have been doing a version of this on my cabin using 3/4 rebar - and putting some concrete at the top due to my ground being so hard . I drive the pins with an electric jackhammer. Nice to see some specs.
