Title: Water testing
Post by: Dberry on May 22, 2006, 08:02:51 PM
Has anyone had good luck and reasonable prices on water testing thru any particular company?  I've seen prices from $99 to $500 and hope to find an honest company with no affiliation with water filters or treatments... i.e. unbiased.  I'm looking for a fairly comprehensive test beyond the bacterial one done by the state folks.

Any ideas?  Any places to avoid?

Thanks!
Dan

Know a realtor or a title company employee?  Call them.  Often in property closings that have private wells, water testing is part of the contract.  Around here, there's a scientific testing company with no ax to grind which does most of them.

When I was well drilling I just used a local testing laboratory that did water testing.  Any major city should have at least one.
