Not that kind, but I installed a Vogelzang in my cabin and I love it. Never installed one before so was on my own, but checked it out real good, bought the right chimney etc, and it works great. I used a carbon monoxide detector the first week just to be safe...no alarms...
I think Morso is one of the high quality ones--priced to match.
Vogelsong from places like Tractor Supply or Northern Hydraulics may not last as long either in terms of how much it heats or years of service. But the price is almost right.
(of course there's always the heated cob bench--there's an updated book from cob cottage out on it with the new preferred(?) name of rocket mass heater , complete with color pictures--I haven't seen it yet, or a Rumford type fireplace, or Ken Kern's home-made masonry job--mentioned in any of several of his books--I can't find my copy of the best of them right now)

I used a vogelzang for three years and it served me well,I bonded with that stove it was very predictable.now I have a canadian made glass doored,brick lined in almost new condition( maybe 1 season)looks well made but I cant find a manufacturers name?It will be used this fall. it was given to me for hauling it away.
Just have to share, I got a nice little Morso stove on eBay for $495 and the best part is, it's in Bisbee AZ. No Shipping!! We can drive down there and have a nice lunch and pick up the stove. Bisbee is a great little town.

This stove looks really nice. And as far as I know Morso is a top brand. I was also looking at them before I went with my Napoleon Fireplace. But have you any idea were this funny dragon comes from??? I want one of these. ;)

I kicked myself for years for not having gotten one from Real Goods when they went on sale for the summer (but it would probably have gotten lost in the fire). So I did get a brass one from Plow and Hearth when I first moved down here. It was pricier than the black aluminum ones. But it's wonderful--she can move both the head and tail. And it's fun to watch her steam.
You might get a male--mine's definitely female.
(I think mine was always a bit rougher than the pictured one, never ever as shiny, and didn't, five years ago, cost that much more than the aluminum--it was China made--and they sent a chopstick to measure water level--good idea, you don't want to overfill it, I have run her dry a time or two.)

Looks also nice. Although I prefer the black one. But my problem is that Amazon.com won't ship it to Canada and Amazon Canada don't sell it. Hmmm. I have to look around.

Jeez...what does Canada have against Dragons, eh?
Type "dragon steamer" into your favorite search engine and you'll pull up a bunch of places that look to all be selling the exact same one. The same search in ebay will pull up a few down the bottom too. Or find a friend in the states and have them ship you as a "gift" If we knew you I'd have my mom drive it across when she goes down to Nova Scotia to visit the family this summer. ;)

Sore point there PEG. I just want one of those toilets with a big honkin' hole in it. I'm tired of plugging these low flow suckers or having to do a half a dozen courtesy flushes. Gimme one that can take some action.
At least I have the 1910 Mott to put in some day.
By the time I'm done getting it down, I've used 10 gallons of water. That's enough reason to move to Canada right there. :)
