Title: The "Next Generation" Solar Home
Post by: jonseyhay on April 27, 2006, 08:56:36 PM
Looks like this place is almost done. It's one we have looked at before and has some information on waterproofing the foundation.

I think they're supposed to be open something in the "any day now" range.

May have had to do a lot of waterproofing on the foundation--IIRC the location looked rather like a swamp.

Note that while they are in the trees, the solar arrays cannot have even one shadow accross a panel or it blocks output from the entire panel and others in series with it, until the shadow has passed, so they must be in a clearing.

You must have been a busy little beaver for a bit, Jonesy.  We missed your bright shining face.

Drop by this weekend -- we'll shotgun a few tinnies. :)

I was thinking of ground water--they are trying earth tubes.

Crimoney, Jonesy.  What are people going to eat with all of that rice.  Here's what they eat with it in Vietnam.
