Hi all:
Saw this interesting way to provide a bed in a small house I'm sure many of us have seen at least one of the "Tiny House' shows, most of which provide a loft for sleeping space. For those of us who are not liking to climb down a ladder in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, this is an interesting alternative. [cool] It might also be useful in some of the small houses built by those who use this web site; possibly as an extra 'guest room"?

That's rather brilliant. Thanks!
That is nice! Along the same line are the various size Murphy beds that Costco is now selling. A queen with everything just over $1,000 and the steel mechanism is on Amazon for $ 400 or so with all the wood plans to build the 18" box that it sits in against the wall. We just installed one and I will add a pix when I get some time.
Here is a link to the wall bed kit with plans

Here is the Costco complete bed. They have sales now and then that take the price down $300.

The Costco sold models are the best mechanism and if I did this again I would search it out. It is a much stronger design than the Amazon kit. The down side is the costco is particle board and would really be easy to build with some decent wood.
