Title: Board and batten shutters
Post by: jesse977 on September 27, 2014, 04:35:35 AM
Hello I really like board and batten shutters. I am thinking of installing them on my soon to be built cabin. I like them because they look cool and because you can close them and secure your cabin when your away. Anyone have any pics of their cabins with these type of shutters? What do you guys think of them? Here are some examples I saw online.

I like them and have used them.  Even though the shutters that fit inside the window opening look very neat when closed; I prefer the full-sized design that covers the whole window framing, as I think this design can offer more resistance to storm/wind intrusion.  Your second photo is an example.
