I'm looking to build a single story cabin in the Franklin/Bryson city NC area. I plan on it being one story, approx. 30x40 with a matching finished basement. I would like to know if someone in the area that has built their own cabin can help me figure out cost. By building your own cabin I mean you built it or did most of the work and didn't just make a phone call to a contractor. Can you tell me what building cost estimating paperwork you used?
